The main pins are for folk music, instrumental sessions and dance but other pins for some choirs, ‘OpenMic’, storytelling, mumming and writers links have been added too.
Most of the Staffordshire pins come from the NorthStaffsFolkDiary(‘nsfd’) (www.nrkarts.co.uk/index.html) -you should find a link there if you’d like a weekly email of what’s on.
This map concentrates on Staffordshire but also has pins in areas within easy driving distance of Staffordshire.
It also has pins for other possibly significant events and venues further afield.
You will find links to listings for neighbouring counties on the ‘Links…’ layer
-Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Cheshire, Wales.
Let me know, on the map page or Facebook, if there are places and events to add. I’d be happiest adding folky type events in or near Staffordshire and south Cheshire.
The Derbyshire border seems particularly sparse?
